Anthropic, a startup backed by Google and Amazon, has just released an updated version of its artificial intelligence model and a new user interface, marking an important step forward in the race to develop advanced AI technology.
Just three months after launching the Claude 3 AI model line, Anthropic continues to introduce the upgraded version Claude 3.5 Sonnet. This is a testament to Anthropic's constant development and innovation in the field of artificial intelligence. Claude 3.5 is expected to bring outstanding improvements compared to its predecessor.
Compared to the Claude 3 Opus — which CEO Dario Amodei called the “Rolls-Royce of models” in March — Anthropic’s latest system scores higher in benchmark tests, has twice the performance, and is priced for software developers at a fifth of the cost of previously released AI models.

For users, Anthropic has made its latest technology available for free at Claude.ai and in an iOS app. It also allows web users to opt in to a setting called “Artifact.” This allows web users to curate content they ask Claude to create, including sketches for novels, simple computer games, and more, in a window that appears concurrently with their conversation with the AI.
Additionally, the “Artifact” feature can allow multiple users to participate in a project, discuss and edit AI-generated content. “Our goal is to be able to collaborate and be able to use your model to create the finished product,” CEO Dario Amodei shared.
Anthropic plans to release more AI models this year, including Claude 3.5 Opus. “Again, we want to have the fastest release cycle possible, but this still depends on our safety values,” Amodei said.
