Dien Bien and Hanoi University of Science and Technology cooperate in training, developing human resources in science and technology, and digital transformation

On the side of the delegation of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, there were Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Quyet Thang, Director and representatives of departments, training schools, research institutes, and research centers of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, welcomed the delegation of Hanoi University of Science and Technology to Dien Bien, to cooperate with Dien Bien in training and developing human resources in science and technology.

With the desire to maximize the strengths of both sides, mobilize comprehensive resources to support each other to perform well the functions and tasks, contributing to bringing common benefits to society, people and businesses, at the working session, the People's Committee of Dien Bien province and the University of Science and Technology agreed to sign a cooperation agreement according to 3 contents.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology introduces modern technical and technological training majors.

Specifically, in the period of 2025-2030, Dien Bien and the University of Science and Technology will cooperate to develop and apply artificial intelligence (AI) to serve healthcare, education, agriculture, environmental resources and tourism; research, transfer of advanced technology and innovation in the fields of agricultural products, forestry, natural resources and environment, monitoring, supervision and warning of natural disasters; training and developing human resources in management, science and technology, education, innovation and digital transformation.

Comrade Le Thanh Do, Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee, spoke at the agreement on cooperation contents between Dien Bien province and Hanoi University of Science and Technology, in the period 2025-2030.

Committing to implementing the agreed contents of the cooperation agreement, Comrade Le Thanh Do, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Bien province affirmed that Dien Bien will support, coordinate and provide all necessary information for Hanoi University of Science and Technology to conduct research and surveys at units, agencies, enterprises, farms, and raw material areas when building cooperation projects with units in Dien Bien province.

Along with that, the Provincial People's Committee will arrange human resources, equipment, closely coordinate with Hanoi University of Science and Technology to carry out work according to specific cooperation contents; direct departments, branches, sectors, and affiliated units to coordinate with Hanoi University of Science and Technology to implement the contents of the cooperation agreement; support Hanoi University of Science and Technology in implementing projects in Dien Bien province according to the provisions of law, in accordance with the field of cooperation.

Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Quyet Thang, Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, spoke at the meeting.

On the side of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Quyet Thang affirmed: Hanoi University of Science and Technology commits to using the best resources to coordinate with the People's Committee of Dien Bien province to implement cooperation contents according to the approved plan; commits to using the best resources to meet the needs of promoting AI application, transferring advanced technology, training human resources for Dien Bien province; arranging and ensuring a team of experts with appropriate experience in key areas to build and implement effective projects and proposals, proposing technical and technological solutions suitable to the province's conditions.

In particular, in the cooperation program, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will award 100 scholarships to students from Dien Bien province to study STEAM majors at Hanoi University of Science and Technology based on general policies and regulations on scholarships of Hanoi University of Science and Technology and in accordance with legal regulations throughout the cooperation period.

Welcoming the delegation of Hanoi University of Science and Technology to visit and work with the province in the atmosphere of the historic March days in the heroic land of Dien Bien Phu, comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, expressed his thanks for the cooperation and support of Hanoi University of Science and Technology for Dien Bien in the past time.

Comrade Tran Quoc Cuong also expressed his hope that, through the signing of the cooperation agreement, the University of Science and Technology will prioritize cooperation in the fields of science and technology, innovation, training and human resource development to improve work efficiency, create unique products with the Dien Bien brand; at the same time, promote the development of green agriculture, combining spiritual tourism and historical tourism for Dien Bien province.
