On the morning of April 6, at the meeting and gratitude program for Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline workers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign, many valuable documents and images about the contributions of Thanh Hoa's army and people were presented.

Among the hundreds of documentary images at the exhibition, there are many valuable documents about the contributions of the army and people of Thanh Hoa - the great rear base of the Dien Bien Phu campaign. According to statistics, in this campaign, the entire Thanh Hoa province mobilized 30% of the working-age population to participate in the frontline labor force, with a total of nearly 179,000 people and 27 million working days. In particular, during 56 days and nights, Thanh Hoa mobilized more than 10,000 bicycles, 1,300 bamboo and wooden boats; 47 horse-drawn carts, 31 cars, 180 buffalo carts to transport food supplies to the front line. Thanh Hoa provided 4,361 tons of rice, exceeding the Central Government's allocation by 9 tons; 1,300 cows, 2,000 pigs, 250,000 eggs... Photo: Dinh Minh. Ha Minh Anh (residing in Sam Son City, Thanh Hoa) said that this was the first time he had seen so many precious images and documents about the Dien Bien Phu campaign that 'resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world'. 'When I looked at all the pictures, I felt the glory of the battle and the sacrifices and losses that our ancestors had to make to gain independence and freedom for the nation. To make those achievements forever, I and other young people will try to study, work and produce so that the country can become strong and prosperous,' Minh Anh said.
