Ben Tre tourism businesses meet at the beginning of spring At Ty 2025

Delegates and tourism businesses attended the meeting.

In 2024, with synchronous development solutions, Ben Tre tourism welcomed over 2.5 million visitors, including over 616 thousand international visitors, with tourism revenue reaching 3,278 billion VND.

The whole industry has focused on promoting communication, advertising and introducing the image of Coconut Land tourism to domestic and foreign tourists. The business community has paid attention to developing tourism products, building and developing many new and attractive products and services with unique features of Ben Tre, and improving the quality of tourist accommodation facilities to meet the prescribed standards.

Up to now, the province has 32 licensed businesses, including 11 international travel agencies, 21 domestic travel agencies, 90 accommodation establishments with over 1,700 rooms with a capacity of about 3,200 guests. There are over 130 dining establishments with about 35,000 seats, including 6 dining establishments that meet tourist standards, over 60 tourist areas, tourist attractions, shopping, entertainment, 9 typical tourist attractions of the Mekong Delta and about 10 rest stops to meet the needs of tourists.

Tourist accommodation facilities are invested and exploited effectively, increasingly professional, modern, highly appreciated by tourists such as: Diamond Star Hotel (5 stars), Ben Tre Riverside Resort (4 stars), Forever Green Resort, Ham Luong Hotel (3 stars) and homestays associated with serving tourist routes such as: Maison du Pays de Ben Tre, Con Ba Tu, Ut Trinh...

Diamond Star Ben Tre Hotel has been recognized as a 5-star tourist accommodation facility by the General Department of Tourism and is one of 5 units representing Vietnam to be awarded the ASEAN Green Hotel Award in 2024 at the Southeast Asia Tourism Forum - ATF 2024.

At the meeting, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism introduced to businesses promotion programs, communications, new tourism products and services, and operational orientations for 2025. At the same time, it commended 20 typical businesses contributing to tourism activities in 2024, announced and awarded the decision to recognize Lan Vuong tourism as a tourist destination by the Provincial People's Committee.

The Organizing Committee also summarized and awarded prizes for Ben Tre tourism promotion competitions. Specifically, since the beginning of 2024, the Department has launched a video clip creation competition to introduce Ben Tre tourism and a beautiful Ben Tre tourism photo contest in 2024. The two competitions have spread and received many positive responses from people and tourists. Thereby contributing to the work of promoting, advertising, and introducing the image of Ben Tre land and people to domestic and foreign tourists.

The Ben Tre tourism photo contest on the Smart Travel App received 401 entries from nearly 60 authors. The Ben Tre tourism video clip creation contest attracted 26 entries from 19 authors and groups of authors.

The jury selected 39 winning entries for the Ben Tre tourism photo contest and 12 winning entries for the Ben Tre tourism video clip creation contest. Author Giang Ngoc Hai with the work "Countryside Labor" won first prize in the Ben Tre tourism photo contest 2024 and author Ha Tan Phat with the work "Coconut Ecotourism" won first prize in the Ben Tre tourism video clip creation contest 2024 and received a certificate of merit from the Provincial People's Committee.
