At the program, the women in various ao dai, holding conical hats or flowers, and sitting on cyclos to parade on the street. The parade followed the route from 2/4 Square along Tran Phu Street to Yen Phi Park, then turned back to Tran Phu Street and returned to 2/4 Square. On the coastal road, the Vietnamese ao dai made the coastal city of Nha Trang more colorful. The activity attracted the attention of many locals and tourists.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Nguyen Quynh Nga, President of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union emphasized: Ao dai is always a beautiful symbol of national culture, the pride of Vietnamese people. Ao dai is not only limited to performing on stage, organizing an ao dai parade has an important meaning in promoting and demonstrating the strength of Khanh Hoa women in all fields, promoting the beauty of ao dai and Vietnamese women in general.
Over the years, activities related to parades, performances and wearing Ao Dai have always received positive responses from local women. The combination of colorful Ao Dai performances with cyclo rides on the morning of June 15th created a very unique image. This has contributed significantly to creating a beautiful image for the city, especially during this Nha Trang Sea Tourism Festival.
From here, the Women's Union of Khanh Hoa province in particular and the Organizing Committee of the Nha Trang Sea Tourism Festival 2024 in general want to send to the people and tourists the message of the peaceful and hospitable coastal city of Nha Trang, a dynamic, modern land, actively developing and integrating with the traditional cultural identity values of Khanh Hoa homeland.
“On the most beautiful street of the coastal city today, the parade will create a brilliant, colorful picture, spreading joy, optimism and uniting us all into a united, united bloc, affirming our love for the ao dai and our pride in the ao dai,” said Ms. Nguyen Quynh Nga.
Through this program, the President of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union called on each individual woman in particular, Khanh Hoa people, and Vietnam in general to promote their sense of responsibility to protect and preserve the Ao Dai, preserve the beauty of the Vietnamese soul, Vietnamese culture, and Vietnamese spirit, spreading the image of Khanh Hoa tourism to international friends and tourists.
Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Nga, working at the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Khanh Hoa province, said that this activity aims to honor the beauty of Vietnamese women and she hopes that there will be more activities like this in the future so that every woman has the opportunity to confidently promote her image wearing Ao Dai, contributing to spreading the habit of wearing Ao Dai regularly.
