On December 21, Vinh Long University of Technology and Education celebrated its 63rd anniversary and welcomed more than 2,300 new students for the 2023-2024 school year. Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, former Vice President; Mr. Dao Ngoc Dung, Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; and Mr. Bui Van Nghiem, Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, attended.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Cao Hung Phi, Principal of Vinh Long University of Technology Education, said that on November 11, 2013, the Prime Minister signed a decision to establish Vinh Long University of Technology Education on the basis of upgrading from Vinh Long College of Technology Education.
Having gone through many difficulties, but with the spirit of solidarity of the school, up to now the school has 7 associate professors, 50 doctors, 300 masters, including many lecturers graduated from leading universities in and outside the country. The school has been accredited as a university education institution and completed the accreditation of 2 master's training programs, 12 university training programs according to domestic and international standards.
Currently, the school offers 32 majors with 49 undergraduate majors. At the graduate level, the school offers 16 master's majors and 6 doctoral majors with nearly 13,000 students...
"The school's students have achieved many successes in national, ASEAN and world vocational skills competitions... With such persistent efforts, the school always excellently completes its assigned tasks and has been honored to receive many noble awards from the Party and State," said Mr. Phi.

Minister Dao Ngoc Dung also hopes that the school will focus on planning, recruiting, training, fostering, improving the capacity and qualifications of the teaching staff; linking teaching activities with scientific research activities of lecturers; perfecting admission methods in 2024. Along with that, it is necessary to seize opportunities, focus more on developing training in semiconductor technology, digital technology, artificial intelligence AI, green technology, green energy conversion...
