(Dan Tri) - The Vice President reminded Bac Lieu to review the preparations for Tet in the area so that every citizen can celebrate Tet happily, safely, and prosperously, with a lot of enthusiasm to enter the new year with success.
On the afternoon of January 18, a Central working delegation led by Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited and presented gifts to policy families, the poor, workers, and children in difficult circumstances in Bac Lieu province on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan highly appreciated the efforts of Bac Lieu province over the past year, making positive contributions to the overall socio-economic development of the country.
In addition, the province has taken care to make the lives of people with meritorious services better and better. Another result is that the rate of poor and near-poor households in the province has been reduced to only 0.69%. This is a very impressive figure for a province in the Southwest region like Bac Lieu.
"The province's resources are still low compared to the national average, but the province has made the most of those meager resources, from the hearts of cadres, soldiers, and people, to take care of policy families and poor households," the Vice President noted.
For workers, civil servants and laborers, according to the Vice President, in addition to the responsibility of business owners, the responsibility of Party committees and authorities is also very important so that these subjects can feel secure during Tet, have vitality, work capacity and have higher income in the coming time.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan reminded Bac Lieu province to continue calculating a reasonable economic restructuring, creating accelerated development; increasing the value of the province's economic sectors more positively; bringing culture into production, business, and tourism services to create unique features for the locality.
"The province needs to preserve and promote unique cultural values in investment tasks and social welfare such as education, health care, telecommunications, etc. so that people living right on Bac Lieu land can enjoy the high achievements of science and technology. People do not need to go too far to get medical treatment, study and have a good life, and get rich in their homeland," the Vice President noted.
Informing the working delegation, Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thieu said that in the temporary housing elimination program, the province has more than 1,800 houses. So far, the province has built about 700 houses to put into use before Tet.
"The locality will continue to speed up construction of the remaining houses, expected to be completed before April 30," said Mr. Thieu.
On the morning of January 18, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited and presented Tet gifts to poor households and children in Ca Mau province. The Vice President also visited, wished a happy new year and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Tran Thi Khanh in Ca Mau city.
