The contest attracted 9 teams, representing districts and cities with nearly 200 contestants from across the province. This year's contestants were expanded, not reserved for a specific group of contestants like previous contests.
Accordingly, each competing team is formed from many members such as cadres, civil servants, armed forces, students, youth union members, women's union members, workers, etc.
The competing teams went through 3 rounds, including: Team introduction; book promotion and reading skills.
With investment in staging and attractive propaganda, the contest teams promoted and introduced to viewers books containing the love and national pride of the whole country in general and Binh Duong province in particular over 50 years of innovation, construction and development.
This is one of the cultural activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21), and World Book and Copyright Day (April 23) this year.
This year's Book Promotion and Introduction Contest has a special meaning in order to review the glorious tradition of the nation with the great victory of the historic Spring of 1975, thereby arousing national pride, the values of independence, freedom and honoring the outstanding achievements in economics, politics, culture - society, national defense - security of the country and Binh Duong province in 50 years of construction, innovation and development. Through the contest, it also contributes to promoting the development of reading culture.
As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 first prize (Tan Uyen City team), 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 3 consolation prizes and 2 special prizes to the winning teams in this year's competition.
