Teacher Le Thi Huong is a Literature teacher at the secondary school level. After implementing the policy of merging with the primary school level to form the Quan Ho Than Primary and Secondary Boarding School No. 2, Ms. Huong and her colleagues proactively arranged time to attend the teaching sessions of their primary school colleagues to adapt to the work. Teacher Huong shared: “Through the observed lessons, we will grasp the situation of the students, the students in terms of capacity as well as level. From there, teachers of the two levels can adjust their teaching methods and techniques to be more suitable and closer to reality, helping students understand and grasp the lessons faster.”

The merger into an inter-level school helps Quan Ho Than Primary and Secondary Boarding School No. 2 fundamentally solve the difficulties in the teaching staff, especially in specialized subjects. At the same time, it effectively exploits facilities and equipment to improve the quality of education.

Teacher Nguyen Van Thinh, Principal of Quan Ho Than Primary and Secondary Boarding School No. 2, Simacai District, said: “In the 2024-2025 school year, the school has 38 students who achieved district-level excellent students. This school year in particular, we have 2 students who achieved provincial-level excellent students in grade 9. The overall quality of the school remains stable, meeting the criteria of a national standard school.”

The quality of education is maintained after the school merger.

In 2024, Simacai district will merge 8 schools into 1 kindergarten and 3 primary and secondary schools. The operations of the schools have basically stabilized, and the quality of the beginning of the year at these schools has been improved.

Mr. Pham Van Tiep, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Si Ma Cai district emphasized: "School units have grasped the psychology of teachers as well as students, organized seminars connecting primary and secondary schools to create connection, unity, professional exchange as well as orientation, and teaching organization for primary school students to approach secondary schools".

Simacai merged 8 schools.

Actively review, arrange and merge schools to implement Resolution 18 of the Central Committee. Practices in localities in the province show that after the merger, it has brought practical results. Schools have reduced the number of focal points to build a streamlined team of managers, teachers and staff. These are factors to comprehensively improve the quality of education in the new period.
