The Central region may be affected by heavy rain on November 12-13.

The latest news from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting stated that from November 12 to November 13, the area from Thua Thien Hue to Binh Dinh is likely to experience moderate to heavy rain, with some places experiencing very heavy rain.

Rainfall in the next two days is expected to range from 70 to 150mm, with some places reporting over 250mm; there is a risk of flash floods, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.

To proactively respond to heavy rains, the risk of flash floods, landslides, and flooding, on the evening of November 10, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Hoang Hiep signed a document to the People's Committees of 5 provinces and cities: Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and a number of ministries and branches requesting to focus on implementing proactive response measures.

The key task in the coming hours is to continue to closely monitor forecasts and warnings of heavy rain, flash floods, landslides, and flooding; provide timely and complete information to authorities and people at all levels to proactively prevent, respond, and minimize damage.

Review and prepare to evacuate people in areas at risk of deep flooding, flash floods, and landslides; prepare forces, vehicles, equipment, and essential supplies according to the "four on-site" motto to be ready to respond to all situations.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Hiep also requested ministries, branches and localities to focus on reviewing and implementing measures to ensure the safety of reservoirs and downstream areas; proactively operate reservoirs to ensure flood capacity according to regulations. At the same time, arrange permanent forces to operate and regulate and be ready to handle possible situations.
