Dak Lak implements international agreements

In order to strengthen local cooperation, promote socio-economic development and ensure security and defense, on March 27, 2025, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province issued Official Dispatch No. 2908/UBND-KTTH directing agencies, units and localities to actively and proactively study and implement signed international agreements, especially the Memorandum of Understanding on development cooperation for the period 2022 - 2026 signed on December 29, 2021 with the Champasak Provincial Government, the Cooperation Agreement signed on March 11, 2025 with the Attapeu Provincial Government) .

The cooperation agreement between the People's Committee of Dak Lak province and the Government of Attapeu province (Lao PDR) was signed on March 11, 2025 on the occasion of the high-ranking delegation of the province attending the activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Buon Ma Thuot Victory, the liberation of Dak Lak province (March 10, 1975 - March 10, 2025) and the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025. Accordingly, the two sides agreed to cooperate in 9 important areas, including: Delegation exchange; Friendship cooperation, people-to-people exchange; Cooperation in trade and investment; Cooperation in education and training; Cooperation in agriculture; Cooperation in health; Culture, sports, tourism and information - communication; Cooperation in drug trafficking prevention and control; Local foreign affairs.

Every two years, the two provinces will organize visits and work sessions to evaluate the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement; thereby promoting cooperation, investment and friendly exchanges between the two provinces in a pure spirit for the special friendship and cooperation of the two sides.

The establishment of bilateral cooperation between Dak Lak and Attapeu provinces will open up many new opportunities and more sustainable development in the future. Thereby, contributing to strengthening the friendship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos and creating conditions for businesses of the two countries to develop together...

This cooperation agreement is valid for 05 years from the date of signing, and is implemented on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and mutual benefit, within the authority and capacity of each party, in accordance with the laws of each country and international treaties to which each country is a member. The two parties agree to assign focal points to implement cooperation activities within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement./.
