Viet Glory Company Limited (specializing in manufacturing leather shoes for export, located in Dien Truong Commune, Dien Chau District, Nghe An) has sent 3 consecutive notices to the company's workers. This move was made after 6 consecutive days of more than 5,000 workers collectively stopping work.
In this announcement, the company said that the international order situation has shown signs of recovery but is still not positive, customers require the company to have more competitive prices and better product quality. Because of insufficient orders, the company has had to cut working hours, so workers' income has also been affected.

To take care of the lives of employees, the company decided to adjust meal allowances and fuel allowances. Specifically, the fuel allowance was adjusted from VND 260,000/month to VND 390,000/person/26 working days in a month.
Meal allowance is adjusted from 20,000 VND to 24,000 VND/person/day, calculated for 26 days per month.
Along with that, Viet Glory company adjusted the increase in production bonus to encourage staff and workers to produce good quality products. The adjustment level is calculated for each level, respectively from 20,000 VND to 50,000 VND (level 1), 25,000 VND to 55,000 VND (level 2) and 30,000 VND to 60,000 VND (level 3).
These adjustments take effect from October 1, 2023.

Previously, the company required all workers to work normally on October 6. In case workers do not come to work, they will be considered free leave from October 2. After 5 days of free leave, the company will comply with the provisions in Point e, Clause 1, Article 36 of the Labor Code on the employer's right to unilaterally terminate the labor contract.
In fact, by October 5, about 1,000 workers of Viet Gloy Co., Ltd. had returned to work at the factory. On October 7, the number of workers returning increased to more than 1,500.
In the latest document, Viet Glory Company Limited announced the postponement of unilateral termination of labor contracts until the morning of October 9. "On the morning of October 9, any worker who does not come to work will be handled according to the provisions of the law," the notice stated.

The workers said that the company was imposing too high a production rate on them, some welfare policies were too low, and they were not respected by management...
In subsequent announcements, Viet Glory Company Limited provided specific information about the process of establishing labor standards and affirmed that the standards applied to the company's workers are currently lower than those of other companies in the group.
Recommendations on the attitude of management staff, timekeeping machines, meeting times... were also received and adjusted.
