On March 26-27, dozens of students in the Tue Duc School system showed symptoms of headaches, vomiting, and diarrhea. The school suspected that they had food poisoning.
According to the school, on the morning of March 26, the homeroom teacher of class 1P6 received information from parents saying that 2 students of the school had symptoms of nausea and diarrhea, and were taken to the hospital by their families for examination and were diagnosed with suspected food poisoning.
An hour later, the school received two more students with similar symptoms. Immediately, the school held a meeting with the principal, medical staff, admissions department, and homeroom teachers of the students involved.

The school recorded a total of 38 suspected cases of poisoning with symptoms of vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
On the morning of March 27, according to information received by the school from parents, 7 more students had stomach aches and asked to stay home for observation.
Previously, confirming with VietNamNet , a representative of the Tue Duc Pathway School system said that after the afternoon meal on March 25, some students of the school showed symptoms of vomiting, stomachache, and diarrhea and had to be hospitalized.
According to the school, the afternoon snack on March 25 was Korean mixed noodles and yogurt drink; on the morning of March 26, it was black bean noodles and grilled pork vermicelli. The students' meals were provided by Haxeca Mekong International Joint Stock Company (Tan Phu District). The school has taken food samples for testing, and the results will be available in 7-10 days.
Thu Duc Department of Education and Training visited the school to check the status, records and procedures for preparing and cooking food at the school kitchen. The inspection results showed that Haxeca Mekong facility ensures hygiene, the staff prepares and wears protective gear, updates the 3-step book and stores samples according to regulations.
