Attending the program were comrade Nguyen Hai Anh - Vice President, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, Head of the 2024 Honoring Organizing Committee; leaders of the Office of the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Donation, the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, the Phu Tho Provincial Red Cross Society and 100 outstanding voluntary donating delegates nationwide.

A national delegation of outstanding voluntary blood donors reported their achievements at the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site.

On the top of Nghia Linh Mountain, members of the delegation from all over the country gathered to share the joy of kind hearts - hearts that know how to share their red blood to save their fellow countrymen. Over the past decades, HMTN has become a large humanitarian movement throughout the country with tens of millions of units of blood donated, bringing life, joy and happiness to millions of patients in need of blood transfusion.

A national delegation of outstanding voluntary blood donors offered incense to commemorate the Hung Kings.

2024 is the 16th year that the program to honor 100 outstanding blood donors nationwide has been organized. This is also the year marking many special events for blood donation activities such as: Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the launch of the humanitarian blood donation movement in Vietnam; Celebrating the 20th anniversary of International Blood Donor Day June 14 with the message "Thank you to those who donate blood!".

Among the 100 outstanding HMTN delegates nationwide honored this year, there are 21 female delegates and 79 male delegates. The oldest delegate is 60 years old, the youngest delegate is 22 years old. Many delegates have donated blood more than 60, 70, 80, 100 and 120 times; many delegates have mobilized hundreds, thousands of other people to donate blood to save lives. Phu Tho province is honored to have 2 delegates honored on this occasion.

This year's series of honoring activities will take place over 3 days (from June 13 to 15) in Hanoi and Phu Tho, including: Journey "To the Ancestral Land" to offer incense and report to the Hung Kings; Ceremony to report to Uncle Ho; offering incense at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street; Ceremony to honor 100 outstanding blood donors nationwide in 2024. In particular, on the afternoon of June 14, at the National Assembly Office, the National Assembly Chairman will meet and commend outstanding examples of blood donation; demonstrating the special attention of the Party, State and Government leaders to the voluntary blood donation movement in general and voluntary blood donors in particular.
