On January 9, the Provincial Red Cross Society (RCS) held a conference to review the work of the Association and the voluntary blood donation movement in 2024; and deploy tasks for 2025. Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Huy Ngoc - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee (SC) for voluntary blood donation.

In 2024, the Red Cross chapters at all levels in the province have closely followed the targets and plans, comprehensively implemented key activities, movements and tasks. Notable are the Charitable Tet Movement, Humanitarian Month, the Movement "Good people, good deeds - Joining hands to build a charitable community"; the Campaign "Millions of charitable footsteps"...
The Association has played a good role in receiving and distributing relief goods to localities to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 and the post-storm circulation; mobilized and coordinated to guide over 1,500 volunteer groups and delegations, received nearly 1,600 tons of goods, and assisted nearly 22,700 people affected by storm No. 3. The propaganda and mobilization of voluntary blood donation continued to receive attention. During the year, the whole province organized 54 blood donation sessions, mobilized over 20,000 volunteers to register to donate blood, received nearly 18,700 units of blood, reaching 103.8% of the plan. The total value of 7 areas of activity in the whole province in 2024 reached nearly 108.5 billion VND, assisting over 293,000 beneficiaries.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign Steering Committee Nguyen Huy Ngoc requested: In the coming time, the Association's officials need to thoroughly grasp the viewpoints and directions of the Party and State on continuing to innovate and streamline the political system's apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently. Focus on consolidating and improving the capacity of the Association; effectively organize movements and humanitarian campaigns in the direction of innovation, creativity, and actively care for the poor and vulnerable in society. Improve the quality of activities in response and assistance in emergency situations, natural disaster prevention, community health care, and first aid. Mobilize resources to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for the poor in 2025. Replicating humanitarian models in agencies, schools, businesses, and residential areas; effectively implement the "Compassionate Tet" Movement - Spring At Ty 2025. At the conference, 2 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister; many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in performing tasks in 2024 were awarded by the Central Association and the Provincial Red Cross Association. The Provincial Red Cross Association also launched the Charitable Tet Movement - Spring At Ty 2025. On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross Association also received support from 13 sponsors with a total value of nearly 3 billion VND and awarded the Golden Heart recognition to the sponsors.
