The program aims to promote the image of Vietnam as an attractive destination and promote tourism cooperation between Vietnam and European countries.
The Vietnam-Europe Tourism Promotion Program 2024 is part of a series of activities to launch a direct flight to Munich and celebrate 20 years of Vietnam Airlines' Vietnam-Germany route.
Attending the event were the Vietnamese Consulate in Germany, representatives of the Department of Tourism, Saigon Tourist Corporation, General Director of Munich Airport, representatives of Vietnam Airlines' customer partners in Germany, and domestic and foreign news agencies and press.
At the program, many activities to promote Vietnamese culture and tourism were organized. In particular, within the framework of the event, a seminar on tourism promotion and sales between Vietnam and Europe took place.

Within the framework of the Vietnam-Europe Tourism Promotion Program 2024, representatives of Vietnam Airlines signed a memorandum of understanding on aviation and tourism cooperation with the following partners: Saigontourist Group, Saigontourist Travel, Studiosus Reisen Munchen GmbH and Kuoni Global Travel Services Limited. The cooperation agreements not only contribute to promoting tourism trade between Vietnam and Germany, but also provide an opportunity for the parties to share experiences, improve service quality and develop sustainable tourism products.

Vietnam Airlines officially opened a direct flight connecting Vietnam and Germany in 2004, marking an important turning point in the airline's strategy to expand the European market. After 20 years of operation, this route has served more than 3.1 million passengers, becoming an essential bridge in promoting tourism and trade between the two countries.
Thus, by the end of 2024 and in 2025, Vietnam Airlines will operate a total of 4 routes departing from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to 2 major cities in Germany, Frankfurt and Munich. 100% of flights will be operated by modern wide-body aircraft, comfortable for long trips and environmentally friendly.
