MICE EXPO 2025: Aiming to develop professional, effective and sustainable MICE tourism in Vietnam

On the afternoon of April 11, in Hanoi, the Vietnam MICE Association (VMA) held a meeting with agencies, businesses, and the media to introduce MICE EXPO 2025. This event continues the success recorded from the two MICE EXPOs 2023 and 2024, with the main activities taking place on September 26, 2025 at the National Convention Center, Hanoi.

Under the direction of the Vietnam Tourism Association, MICE EXPO 2025 is still organized with the goal of promoting cooperation between sellers and buyers, sharing knowledge, experience, and updating new trends in the field of MICE tourism.

However, according to Ms. Luu An Hoa, General Secretary of the Vietnam MICE Tourism Association, this year's MICE EXPO has many differences compared to previous years. With the participation of about 800 businesses and 1,500 delegates, the scale of the event will increase by 30% compared to 2024.

Aiming at the theme of “Heritage and Technology”, the technology element will also be strongly applied in the event organization process, from automatic registration, seat selection to using AI to automatically suggest and connect suitable partners by industry… In particular, thematic seminars will take place in parallel in functional rooms along with business networking activities.

Accordingly, MICE EXPO 2025 takes place with the key trade promotion activity “Business Matching B2B”, connecting 150 sellers including hotels, cruise ships, destinations, event venues, golf courses, event equipment suppliers, gifts, etc. and 1,500 buyers from travel companies, event organizers, media companies and other organizations in the tourism sector to update on products, services, exchange and seek cooperation opportunities…

The highlight of the event is the Vietnam MICE Tourism Development Forum with the theme “Technology and Heritage in MICE Tourism Development”, expected to attract 350 delegates. The forum is a place to exchange and discuss solutions to promote MICE tourism development with the launching pad of tangible and intangible heritage values, including two key contents: The role of heritage in MICE tourism development; Applying technology to enhance heritage values.

Within the framework of the event, there will also be a survey-product development activity combining sports competitions: Pickleball Tournament (first time); VMC Golf Cup 2025 Tournament (third time).

Also at the meeting, there was an exchange between speakers on the topic "Future of MICE tourism with AI", suggesting solutions to effectively apply AI in organizing and operating MICE tourism activities, such as: using multilingual translation platforms in seminars, applying AI in developing green tourism...
