The Chief Inspector of the Department of Health has just issued a decision to administratively fine two unlicensed dental clinics a total of VND90 million; suspending the facilities' operations for 18 months.
The inspection team of the Department of Health suddenly inspected medical examination and treatment activities at Saigon Dental Clinic on June 12.
Accordingly, the Chief Inspector of the Department of Health decided to impose an administrative penalty on Ms. Nguyen Thi My, born in 1991, a medical practitioner - owner of Saigon Dental Clinic (located at Kiot A2.1, Tan An Market, Tan Binh, Pham Van Street, Dong Ve Ward, Thanh Hoa City), who committed an administrative violation of providing medical examination and treatment services during the period of suspension of medical examination and treatment activities with a fine of 45 million VND. In addition, the facility is also subject to an additional penalty of suspension of operations for a period of 18 months from May 29, 2023.
The decision to impose an administrative penalty on Mr. Hoang Van Giang, born in 1984, a medical practitioner - owner of Smile Dental Clinic (located at 742 Le Lai, Quang Hung Ward, Thanh Hoa City), for providing medical examination and treatment services without a medical examination and treatment license with a fine of 45 million VND. In addition, the facility is also subject to an additional penalty of suspending operations for 18 months.

Previously, on June 12, the Department of Health established a team to conduct a surprise inspection of medical examination and treatment activities at Saigon Dental Clinic and Smile Dental Clinic. At the time of the inspection, both facilities had staff receiving patients and examining and treating patients with specialized dental equipment.
The inspection showed that both facilities did not have a license to operate medical examination and treatment. The inspection team drew up administrative violation records for these two facilities. At the same time, they sealed the practice equipment, removed the advertising boards and requested the owners of the facilities not to provide medical examination and treatment services without a license to operate.
