Recently, in the evening, in Duc Tho town area, there is often a group of teenagers gathering to drive motorbikes with removed license plates, without helmets, driving at high speed, doing wheelies on inner-city roads. This has caused disorder in traffic safety, endangering people and other traffic participants.
Faced with that situation, Duc Tho District Police directed the Traffic Police Team, Criminal Police Team and other professional teams to grasp the situation and synchronously deploy measures to promptly detect, prevent and rectify.
Accordingly, on the evening of June 4, Duc Tho police force organized patrols and controls in the town combined with undercover operations to combat law violations and unsafe acts committed by groups of young people lacking awareness.
At 8:45 p.m. the same day, the patrol team discovered a group of subjects driving a motorbike without a license plate, not wearing a helmet, carrying more people than allowed, and traveling at high speed on the road.
When the task force stopped to check, the group of teenagers could not present vehicle registration or driver's licenses, so they were invited to the district police headquarters to work.
These subjects include: NQP - the driver (born in 2004, in Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An) carrying NMC (born in 2007, in Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province) and NTĐ. (born in 2009, in Hoa Lac commune, Duc Tho district).
9 subjects and 4 vehicles were arrested and processed.
At the time of arresting NQP, the authorities also asked to stop 3 other motorbikes with similar violations, but these subjects accelerated and fled.
At around 10pm the same day, the police force arrested 6 violators and brought them to headquarters. The subjects include: D.TT (born 2007), NAQ (born 2008), VNN (born 2005), TK (born 2007), PQT (born 2006) and HMQ (born 2007), all from Duc Tho.
Through the struggle, the subjects confessed to their violations and stated that over the past few consecutive days they had gathered together to use motorbikes with all license plates removed, without helmets, driving at high speeds, riding on one wheel (wheelies)... to show off their "talent".
Duc Tho District Police have drawn up a record of administrative fines, temporarily detained 4 motorbikes and continued to expand the investigation, consolidate the case file to handle according to the provisions of law.
