Many activities on Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh has just issued a plan to organize Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025 with many meaningful activities.

Accordingly, the launching ceremony of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day will take place at 7:30 a.m. on April 19, 2025 at Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted with many contents: organizing a book display and exhibition with 10 booths (Books on the theme of Southern Liberation Day, National Reunification; books on the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh; books on Vietnam's seas and islands; books on political , economic, cultural and social achievements of Ha Tinh province; children's books; new books in various fields; arranging art books...); in the afternoon of the same day, a talk on "Reading books in the digital age" will be held.

Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day will take place on April 19, 2025 at Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted.

In addition, organize response activities such as information and propaganda about Vietnam Book Day and Reading Culture in newspapers and grassroots information systems through the implementation of specialized pages, columns, writing news, articles, and reports on the portals/websites of departments, branches, sectors and localities, on pages and groups of social networking platforms; set up billboards and posters on central city streets; integrate through meetings, cultural and sports activities.

Organize multimedia mobile library vehicles at schools in the province in April 2025. Organize donations of books and reading equipment to give to poor children, support school libraries in remote areas. Organize "Customer Appreciation Month", "Book Release Week" with exchanges with readers; introduce good books, sell books at discounts from 10% to 50%, preferential prices for readers in April 2025.

Through Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, contribute to forming reading habits and building a learning society.

Through Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, we aim to affirm the position, role and importance of books in improving knowledge, skills, developing thinking, educating and training human personality; encourage and develop the reading movement and spread reading culture in the community, create a favorable reading environment; form reading habits to contribute to building a learning society.

Effectively implement communication and promotion of books, develop reading culture on media, press, technology platforms, social networks; honor readers, creators, publishers, printers, distributors, libraries, preservers, collectors, book promoters and organizations and individuals with achievements in developing reading culture; enhance the responsibility of all levels, sectors, functional agencies, and social organizations for building and developing reading culture in Ha Tinh province.
