First Cherry Blossom Festival - Ky Thuong

On March 22 and 23, the 2025 Ky Thuong Cherry Blossom Festival took place in Ky Thuong commune, Ha Long city. Held for the first time, the festival is expected to exploit the strengths of landscape and cultural tourism of Ky Thuong and the highland communes of Ha Long city in the future.

The highlight of the festival is the cherry blossom viewing and display. According to a representative of Agrico Technology Joint Stock Company, the unit implementing the cherry blossom planting project in Ky Thuong, there are currently about 1,000 cherry blossom trees planted and growing well in Khe Tre village, Ky Thuong commune. To develop tourism associated with landscape exploitation, Ha Long City has approved 02 detailed plans with a total planned area of ​​30.6 hectares for planting landscape forests and cherry blossom trees in Ky Thuong commune.

Within the framework of the festival, there are many attractive activities such as: Displaying and selling OCOP products, agricultural products of typical households and businesses in the city; introducing the art of embroidering traditional costumes, experiencing Kimono costumes (Japan) and ethnic costumes of Ha Long City; cultural and sports exchange activities such as bamboo dancing, crossbow shooting, stick pushing, etc.

The Ky Thuong Cherry Blossom Festival is organized to realize the Festival City project; combining the preservation and honor of traditional values ​​with the development of new festivals to meet the entertainment and cultural enjoyment needs of the people and tourists. The festival also creates new tourism products, increases the attraction of mountainous tourism in Ha Long, contributes to the goal of welcoming 11.5 million visitors in 2025 and at the same time sustainably exploits the city's heritage economy.
