The work is not only special in size but also in material. The use of Do paper is the intention of the artisans to honor the traditional values of the nation, contributing to preserving the quintessence of Vietnamese heritage. This is also a typical activity at "Folklore Island" - one of the five main subdivisions of the colorful entertainment and cultural experience complex VinWonders Nam Hoi An. The entire process of creating Do paper masks - a famous traditional craft of Kinh Bac with a history of hundreds of years is vividly recreated.

Artisan Bui Quy Phong, the author of the record-breaking work, has spent more than 40 years breathing life into masks. His works depict the typical beauty of hát bội (also known as hát bộ, or tuong) with different expressive nuances, always following the yin-yang rule and consisting of 5 main colors: yellow, white, red, black, green. Unlike masks that are usually hollowed out for the eyes, artisan Bui Quy Phong's masks attract viewers with their lively expressions expressed through the "windows to the soul".

Sharing about the record-breaking mask, artisan Bui Quy Phong said that this was the most special mask he had made in his decades of working in the profession. "We created a 3.5m character's face on Do paper to honor our ancestors, the famous singers of the old Tuong opera," he said. "During festivals and Tuong performances, this mask will always remind us of the glorious golden age of the Tuong opera stage of our ancestors."
