The world's biggest football tournament will kick off in 2026 across three North American countries. Regional qualifiers are currently underway to determine the best teams to take part in this football festival.
Japan is the first team to qualify for the 2026 World Cup through the qualifying round. The "Samurai Blue" showed their superior strength in Group C of the third qualifying round of the Asian region, when they won 19 points after 7 matches, 13 points ahead of the third-placed team.
Because the third qualifying round of the Asian region only has 3 more matches to end, coach Moriyasu and his team have officially won tickets to the 2026 World Cup 3 matches early.
Thus, up to now, the Organizing Committee has determined 4 teams to participate in the 2026 World Cup Finals. Previously, the three host teams including the US, Mexico and Canada were given special permission to participate in the tournament.
