My Son commune meets advanced new rural standards

From a commune in region III with many difficulties, My Son commune has united, joined hands, overcome all challenges to achieve proud achievements, and was recognized as a commune meeting the NTM standards in 2021. Not stopping there, with high political determination, efforts, and attempts, in just 36 months, the cadres and people of My Son commune have completed 19/19 advanced NTM criteria. Specifically: The socio-economy continues to develop stably, the average income per capita reaches 60 million VND/person; the multidimensional poverty rate of the commune reaches 2.41%. Infrastructure has been invested synchronously, schools and medical stations have been repaired and newly built, rural roads have been concreted or asphalted 33 km/33km, reaching a rate of 100%.

Culture and society have many positive changes, the material and spiritual life of the people has been significantly improved; 6/6 villages have been recognized as cultural villages, reaching 100%. The collection and treatment of domestic wastewater by appropriate measures reached 84.5%; livestock farming ensuring veterinary hygiene and environmental protection reached 99.7%; the rate of organic waste and agricultural by-products in the commune collected, reused and recycled into raw materials, fuel and environmentally friendly products reached 88.5%. Security and order are ensured, proving that the commune is not complicated in terms of security and order according to the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that being recognized as a "Commune meeting advanced NTM standards" is an honor and pride, and at the same time, it also poses a great responsibility for the locality. He suggested that in the coming time, My Son commune continue to maintain and improve the quality of the achieved criteria, aiming at the goal of a model NTM. At the same time, promote the role of the people in building NTM, ensuring the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit"; promote economic development, apply science and technology, develop production according to the value chain associated with the consumer market; improve the quality of education, health care, maintain security and order and protect the environment and continue to build a clean and strong commune political system; build a team of dedicated and responsible commune cadres to meet the requirements in the current period.
