Many readers think that the hospital should not delete the above propaganda content, but should adjust the image and continue to promote.

Majority support hospital

On December 29, Tuoi Tre Online published an article about Da Nang Oncology Hospital being criticized by distributors of A. colostrum for posting information "Colostrum should not be used because it has very low energy and protein, does not contain EPA, will aggravate malnutrition and be costly for patients" with a picture of A. milk crossed out.

Hospital leaders said they deleted the information as soon as they received feedback because they found it inappropriate, but affirmed that doctors and nurses still propagated the above content directly to patients.

The hospital director explained that many studies and analyses by experts and doctors at the hospital showed that the composition of colostrum A. does not provide enough energy for cancer patients while the price is too high, many poor patients still try to buy it because some sellers exaggerate its benefits.

Commenting on the incident, many readers sided with Da Nang Oncology Hospital.

Account truo****@gmail.com commented: "The hospital is very straightforward, providing honest information to patients to avoid being "tricked" into buying products with exaggerated uses and prices."

Account thie****@gmail.com said: "If Da Nang Oncology Hospital is sued and has to pay compensation, I live in Ho Chi Minh City and am willing to contribute money so that the hospital has the finances to pursue the lawsuit because the hospital is very responsible and ethical towards the people. Thank you Da Nang Oncology Hospital."

Reader Nhuong thinks that a 450g carton of milk costs 1.2 million VND, which is too expensive. "It's just exaggerating and playing on the patient's psychology. I support the hospital in advising patients," reader Nhuong wrote.

Should ask the competent authority

Reader Nguyen Thanh Hiep expressed his opinion that hospitals should give advice or instructions to patients not to buy or use substandard products such as drug ingredients and nutrition, but should not directly expose and name these products.

Because if the product name is mentioned directly, the hospital may have to deal with litigation and retaliation from these manufacturers. This is not the hospital's expertise.

"The hospital can send a document to the consumer protection agency and the police so that these two agencies can be responsible for investigating, warning, and even prosecuting production facilities and false advertising," this reader shared.

Many readers also think that the hospital should continue to promote and not delete it, but adjust the content so that specific images of milk do not appear, because in addition to this milk brand A, there are many other milk brands that also take advantage of patients' psychology to sell at high prices while the benefits are insignificant.
