A representative of Thanh Thanh Phat Passenger Transport Company Limited said that according to forecasts, in the next two days, the Northeast monsoon will affect the area, causing strong winds of level 5-6, gusts of level 7, and waves from 1.5 to 3 meters high, making it unsafe for ships to operate.

For that reason, the unit was forced to temporarily suspend the high-speed ferry from Con Dao to Ho Chi Minh City on April 1 and the trip from Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao on April 2.

“For tickets that have been booked in advance, we will refund 100% to passengers and hope that passengers will understand that we have to change the schedule to ensure safety,” said a representative of this company.

Previously, on March 21, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport and other units held a ceremony to announce the high-speed ferry route from the center of Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao.

Thanh Thanh Phat Passenger Transport Company Limited (the operator of this route) informed that the Phu Quy Express high-speed boat has 374 seats. The boat departs from Saigon port (District 4, Ho Chi Minh City) at 7:00 a.m., and from Ben Dam fishing port or Con Dao passenger boat port (Con Dao district) at 11:30 a.m.

The first train is expected to depart on March 29, with a travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao of approximately 5 hours and 45 minutes. The company has proposed a weekday ticket price (Monday to Thursday) of 720,000 VND/ticket for disabled people; 810,000 VND/ticket for seniors and children; and 990,000 VND/general ticket.

For sleeper tickets, the price is 800,000 VND/ticket for disabled people; 970,000 VND/ticket for children and the elderly; 1,150,000 VND/economy ticket. The VIP class on weekdays costs 1,250,000 VND/ticket.

Weekends have higher ticket prices, with seat tickets ranging from 790,000 to 1,090,000 VND/ticket. For sleeper class, tickets range from 880,000 to 1,370,000 VND/ticket.
