(Dan Tri) - Vinh Phuc and Hai Duong surpassed Thanh Hoa to lead the country in the percentage of students winning prizes at the national high school excellent student exam for the 2024-2025 school year.
With 87/98 students winning prizes in this year's national excellent student exam, Vinh Phuc ranks first in the country in terms of winning rate (88.8%). Last year, the province ranked second after Thanh Hoa.

Only 0.2% behind Vinh Phuc is Hai Duong province. This province has 97/110 students winning prizes.
The next positions belong to Nghe An and Ha Tinh with the same rate of 85.7%. Meanwhile, Thanh Hoa dropped from the top of the table last year to 5th this year with 85.6%. This year, the province had 90 students taking the exam and 77 of them won prizes.
Other names in the top 10 include: Nam Dinh, Bac Giang, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Hai Phong.

Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City ranked 13th and 14th respectively. Of which, Hanoi had 200/260 students winning prizes, equivalent to 76.9%, down 1.7% compared to last year. Ho Chi Minh City had 166/236 students winning prizes, equivalent to 70.3%, up 4.5%.
However, in terms of the number of awards alone, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City still lead the country. Vinh Phuc ranks 9th in the Top 10 rankings.

Regarding the number of first prizes, Hanoi still leads with 18 prizes. Next is Bac Ninh with 12 prizes, Hanoi National University with 10 first prizes, Nghe An with 9 prizes and Hanoi Pedagogical University with 8 prizes.
Notably, this year's literature subject only had 3 first prizes. 1 student scored 15 points at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (HCMC) and 2 students scored 14.75 points at the High School for the Gifted - Ho Chi Minh City National University and Thai Binh High School for the Gifted.
The Ministry of Education and Training said that this year's prize-winning students were spread across almost all provinces and cities. Some mountainous areas with difficult socio-economic conditions also had students winning the highest prizes in the exam.
