Accordingly, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong's VinFast car company has opened for sale the mini-SUV VF3 model with a listed price of IDR 227,650,000, applicable only to the option of buying a car with a battery, and at the same time applying a preferential price program of IDR 7,850,000 in cash for the first 1,000 VF3 cars. The expected delivery time is from April 2025.
VinFast customers using electric vehicles will be charged free of charge at the VinFast charging station system operated by V-GREEN. Specifically, the free charging program will be applied from now until March 1, 2028 for VF3 car owners; and until December 31, 2027 for VF5 and VFe34 car owners.
At the same time, V-GREEN aims to develop 30,000 VinFast charging ports nationwide by the end of 2025, significantly improving access to charging infrastructure in Indonesia, perfecting the consumer experience, thereby promoting the electrification of transportation in Indonesia.
Mr. Pham Sanh Chau, General Director of VinFast Asia, said that by launching the VF3 right-hand drive version, VinFast is offering Indonesian consumers more green conversion options. For the younger generation of customers in Indonesia, Mr. Chau expects the VF3 to attract customers.
According to VinFast's announcement, VF3 is designed to meet the full needs of consumers' inner-city travel, with dimensions of length, width, and height of 3,190 x 1,679 x 1,652 (mm) respectively. With alloy wheels measuring up to 16 inches, VF3 has a ground clearance of 175mm, making it easy to move on a variety of terrains.
In addition to the four standard exterior colors - black (exclusive to the Indonesian market), white, red and gray, VinFast also offers four premium two-tone options: yellow, green; blue and pink, all with white roofs.
The VF3 can travel 215km on a full charge and can charge from 10% to 70% in just 36 minutes; accelerate from 0 - 50km/h in 5.3 seconds and reach a maximum speed of up to 100km/h.
VinFast VF3 has a large 10-inch touch screen entertainment screen, along with a gear shift lever behind the steering wheel similar to luxury cars, bringing a comfortable and impressive experience to users.
VF3 also applies an attractive warranty policy of up to 7 years or 160,000km for the vehicle (whichever comes first) and 8 years unlimited km for the battery.
Indonesia is a potential electric vehicle market in Southeast Asia. The government of this country is encouraging the development of electric vehicles by exempting import duties and reducing VAT for this type of vehicle.
VinFast is also investing heavily in Indonesia, including a factory with an investment capital of up to 200 million USD. Initially, the company will focus on small-sized cars such as VF3 and VF5. In addition, many VFe34s are already on the road as Green SM service vehicles.
