VinFast Green continues to stir up the car market

The new "king" of service vehicles

After the early deposit opening, VinFast has set an unprecedented milestone in the history of the Vietnamese automobile industry when receiving up to 45,813 pre-deposits for 4 models of the VinFast Green line within just 72 hours. Thus, on average, 10 Green orders are deposited every minute, showing special interest and great demand from customers for this new product line of VinFast.

The above figures are not only a record for the number of pre-orders in a short period of time, but also reflect a strong trend in the Vietnamese automobile market, as users increasingly prioritize choosing VinFast electric vehicles as a green, smart and economical transportation solution.

Xe Me channel commented that the time of gasoline-powered service cars is over with 45,813 deposits for VinFast electric cars.

“Of the 45,813 GSM orders received in the first 3 days of sale, 13,020 orders came from 12 partners who are large transportation businesses, showing the great appeal and potential of this vehicle line in the service business sector,” said the Me Xe channel.

In comparison, the model that is considered popular in the 7-seat service line, Mitsubishi Xpander, sold only 19,498 units in 2024, less than half of the number of orders from VinFast in 3 days. Xpander's market share is expected to drop sharply due to the appearance of Limo Green. In fact, in the 8 days of deposit, this trend is also showing when thousands of customers quickly decided to upgrade to Limo Green, even stopping depositing for gasoline cars to switch to VinFast's 7-seat MPV.

Similarly, in the small urban car segment, car lines such as Minio Green, Herio Green... are considered to definitely overwhelm gasoline cars such as Hyundai Grand i10, Kia Morning - which have witnessed a sharp decline in sales in recent years.

Saving in every aspect, VinFast Green is still hot

VinFast's record with the Green car line is expected to continue. From March 25, individual customers and services can order VinFast Green via GSM channels or showrooms, VinFast distributors nationwide. The price is 269 million VND for the Minio Green line, 499 million VND for the Herio Green, 668 million VND for the Nerio Green and 749 million VND for the Limo Green.

According to many sales consultants of GSM and VinFast, these car models have not cooled down after the end of the early deposit period, thanks to the competitive price as well as the preferential policy of free battery charging until June 30, 2027 for all VinFast electric car owners. In addition, customers in Hanoi enjoy additional incentives from 2.5 to 7.5 million VND, which can be converted into VinClub points to use services and shop in the Vingroup ecosystem.

“VinFast offers free charging until June 2027, so driving at full throttle without spending a penny on fuel is a great deal. Moreover, electric cars are exempt from registration fees and maintenance costs are also cheap,” said Nguyen Van Long (Hanoi), who has just decided to upgrade his family’s sedan to Limo Green. The economic benefits of VinFast Green electric cars are far superior to those of gasoline cars.

In particular, customers who buy VinFast Green cars to operate on the Green SM Platform in 2025 will also receive the privilege of a revenue sharing rate of up to 90% for 3 years. This is a policy that attracts the attention of many service car owners.

Mr. Le Manh Ha decided to choose Minio Green to run his service in Ho Chi Minh City, thinking that if he only spent 10% of the monthly platform cost on Xanh SM, he could recover his initial investment in less than 1.5 years.

“No car company on the market can compete with VinFast in terms of vehicle operating costs. A gasoline car needs 3-5 years, or even longer if purchased on installments, to recover the cost of buying a car, but with Minio Green, it only takes half that time,” said Mr. Ha.

In 2024, VinFast will be the best-selling car brand in the Vietnamese market with more than 87,000 electric vehicles delivered. With tens of thousands of pre-orders for the Green car line in 3 days and continuing to increase, this new product line is expected to contribute significantly to VinFast's sales growth target in 2025, thereby helping the Vietnamese car company firmly hold the No. 1 position in the market.
