Specifically, from Monday to Friday, Vietcombank is open for transactions from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This transaction time applies from November 23, 2024 to January 15, 2025. At the same time, to avoid transaction interruptions from January 1, 2025, branches are also supporting customers to install biometrics during the holidays. Following Vietcombank's instructions, from November 23, 2024 to January 15, 2025, Vietcombank Ha Tinh will support customers to install biometrics on Saturdays and Sundays. On this Saturday and Sunday alone, the branch welcomed thousands of customers asking for bank staff to support the installation. According to Ms. Hoang Thi Ngoc Thao - Head of Customer Service Department, Vietcombank Ha Tinh Branch, Vietcombank is one of the pioneering banks to collect biometrics for customers under the direction of the State Bank of Vietnam. Currently, there are nearly 250,000 customers using bank card services at Vietcombank Ha Tinh and over 40% of customers have completed biometric installation on Vietcombank Digibank. To avoid disruptions in transactions from January 1, 2025, the branch is asking customers to install on their smartphones or come directly to the bank headquarters for support from staff. During the holidays, Vietcombank has arranged human resources and equipment to maximally support customers to successfully install. Accordingly, customers only need to bring their citizen identification card to the transaction counter and the bank will guide them through the process. Specifically, with a large number of customers transacting, in the past time, Vietcombank Ha Tinh has proactively implemented synchronous solutions such as: Strengthening communication, notifying each customer to grasp information and sending specific instructions for customers to perform the installation. For units and organizations paying salaries, Vietcombank sends employees to support at the facility and issues notices asking customers to come directly to Vietcombank headquarters to receive support from bank staff for installation. At Vietcombank Bac Ha Tinh, up to now, more than 50% of customers have completed biometric installation, of which customers with large account balances have completed about 80%. Ms. Le Thi Huyen, Head of Customer Service Department, Vietcombank Bac Ha Tinh informed that, implementing the direction of the State Bank of Vietnam and the Head Office, in the past time, the unit has strengthened communication, guiding customers to install biometrics. Every day, customers who come to transact directly at the counter are informed by staff and directly guided to install. In addition, staff also called 100% of customers to guide them to install directly on their smartphones or invite them to the bank headquarters for support. In particular, from now until mid-January 2025, the branch is open every Saturday and Sunday to support customers in biometric installation. Every day, the entire branch welcomes nearly 1,000 customers to install biometrics at the transaction counter. Vietcombank Bac Ha Tinh aims to "cover" biometric installation by the end of this year to facilitate customers in the transaction process. To avoid transaction interruptions, thousands of Vietcombank Hai Duong customers have come to the branch headquarters and transaction offices to update their account biometrics. On Sundays November 24 and December 1, Vietcombank Hai Duong implemented a plan to strengthen guidance and support people in updating biometrics and adjusting information on new identification documents to replace expired documents. The bank simultaneously deployed at the branch headquarters at 66 Nguyen Luong Bang (Hai Duong City) and 9 affiliated transaction offices, including: Truong Chinh (Hai Duong City), Gia Loc, Tu Ky, Ninh Giang, Thanh Mien, Nam Sach, Thanh Ha, Phuc Dien (Cam Giang), Binh Giang. Of the more than 400,000 customers using e-banking services (accounting for 60% of the total number of customers) of Vietcombank Hai Duong, more than 200,000 customers have updated their biometric information since the end of June 2024 (to be eligible to transfer money from the banking application with an amount of over 10 million VND/transaction or over 20 million VND/day from July 1). The remaining customers are mainly workers in industrial parks, who do not need to transfer more than 10 million VND via the application. According to Vietcombank Hai Duong, since early morning on November 24, thousands of people have come to Vietcombank Hai Duong headquarters and transaction offices; 90% of them updated their biometrics, the rest updated their identification information. Vietcombank representatives also said that customers can update their biometric information and identification information directly on the VCB Digibank digital banking application or come directly to Vietcombank transaction points for support. Vietcombank recommends that customers bring their valid ID card or chip-embedded citizen ID card when making transactions. To avoid disruption of banking transactions, people and businesses using the services of banks need to check and promptly update their biometric information and new identification documents to replace expired ones.
