Hoan Kiem Theater - located at the intersection of 4 major streets in the center of Hanoi, only 3 minutes walk from the "heart of the capital" - Hoan Kiem Lake, was invested in and built by the Ministry of Public Security and Hanoi City and completed "at lightning speed" in just 22 months.
Inaugurated on July 9, this theater features ancient European architecture, exuding luxury and splendor from 52 monolithic stone columns imported directly from Spain, along with glass blocks and domes surrounding the building. The lighting scheme of the main lobby ceiling of the theater is inspired by the starry night sky with a magnificent lighting system, making the theater at night sparkle like a true art cathedral. However, every design detail of the lobby roof system and the interior of the theater recreates a part of the history of the Vietnamese people, through traditional patterns symbolizing Vietnamese culture.

The theater's sound system is provided by Meyer Sound Laboratories (USA) - a supplier of sound equipment for Broadway stages and theaters around the world. At Ho Guom Theater, Meyer Sound has installed the most modern sound equipment in the world, which is the pride of the company, which is the Array and Constellation speaker systems. In the world, there are currently only a few theaters equipped with this system. Mr. John Pellowe - Project Director of Meyer Sound emphasized: "Ho Guom Theater is in the top 5 theaters with the most modern sound systems in the world designed and installed by Meyer Sound".
