Hundreds of thousands of people have "migrated" to Da Nang to live and work long-term over the past decade, thanks to the attraction of natural landscapes, well-organized traffic infrastructure...
According to the 2019 Census, Da Nang's population reached over 1.1 million people. Data from Da Nang Radio and Television Station shows that in the 10-year period (2009-2019), Da Nang's population increased by more than 250,000 people, with an average annual growth rate of 2.45%, equivalent to 24,700 people. Of which, the mechanical population increase due to migration from other localities is about 10,000-15,000 people per year.
In addition to the wave of migration from all provinces and cities, the number of foreigners coming to Da Nang to live and work is also on the rise. The number of Koreans living and working in Da Nang alone has reached 11,000, according to data released by the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Association of Da Nang City in 2019. Many of them initially came to Da Nang for tourism, but later "fell in love" and stayed long-term with this city of mountains, rivers and sea.

Advantages of "livable city"
One of the basic foundations that helps Da Nang attract a large number of residents is the synchronous and complete investment in traffic infrastructure.
From a place separated by rivers and mountains, the "front" is the riverbank with dilapidated stilt houses, on the other side of the river is the wild "District 3" with beautiful but deserted beaches, Da Nang has changed dramatically.
A series of bridges have been built connecting the two banks. The Hai Van Tunnel crosses the mountain connecting Hue - Da Nang or major roads connecting the central area with Ba Na or going south to Hoi An, Tam Ky... Da Nang also has many new directions for traffic development. Recently, the city has "joined hands" with Quang Nam to research and deploy a new metro line.
Da Nang International Airport - the gateway to the world, has received a large investment. By the end of the first quarter of this year, 33 flight routes had been restored, including 25 international routes and 8 domestic routes. The total number of flights to Da Nang in the first three months of the year is estimated at 9,300 with more than 1.47 million passengers. Many new international routes connect the center of Central Vietnam with Macau (China), Narita (Japan), Vientiane (Laos)...

In addition to infrastructure advantages, Da Nang has many advantages that attract residents.

Da Nang also promotes the application of science and technology in the fields of public administration and urban management, with the goal of serving the people best. Recently, the city was honored as a typical locality implementing the 4.0 Industrial Revolution and digital transformation for the second consecutive time at the Top Industry 4.0 Vietnam - I4.0 Awards.
Development potential
Holding the position of the foundation of Da Nang's economy, the service sector accounts for nearly 70% of the economic structure. In 2022, this sector will recover strongly after the pandemic, with revenue from accommodation, food and beverage and travel services estimated at nearly VND 21,000 billion (an increase of 99.3% compared to 2021).
The city on the Han River became even more famous after being voted 3rd in the top 10 tourist cities in Southeast Asia by Travel & Leisure magazine (USA) and voted by World Travel Award (WTA) as Asia's leading event and festival destination in 2022.

By exploiting the strengths of tourism, the city, with the joint efforts of large economic groups, has continuously added new products and services, increasing the attractiveness of tourism. Names such as Sun World Ba Na Hills, Asia Park, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, Premier Village Da Nang or DIFF International Fireworks Festival have become the focus of attracting tourists, especially luxury customers with high spending levels...

Along with FDI capital poured into large projects, global companies choose Da Nang as their headquarters. This brings many job opportunities, and is also the motivation for Da Nang to attract young, high-quality human resources to work and invest in business.
On the contrary, attracting a large influx of migrants from all over the world also creates a demand for housing. Meeting the needs of residents is the emergence of housing projects in the city center, with full utility systems according to the "all-in-one" model, meeting the needs of long-term living according to international standards.
According to experts, Da Nang still has a lot of potential to break through to become an international coastal city, a modern regional financial center, and a quality resort tourism center. The city has a lot of potential to hold the position of "a city worth visiting, worth living, worth investing" with a series of large projects to be implemented in the future such as airport urban areas, riverside ecological urban areas... The above factors are also the basis for Da Nang to attract successful people, foreign experts... to come to relax, settle down and work long-term.
