Speaking with Tuoi Tre , Mr. Vo Thanh Khoa - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ham Ninh Commune, Phu Quoc City - affirmed that the authorities of Phu Quoc City and Ham Ninh Commune are urgently completing the procedures to forcibly demolish the above bungalow area according to regulations.
The reason why it has not been dismantled yet is because when preparing for enforcement, Mr. NQT filed a lawsuit in court. After that, the court requested a stop to handle the case. Up to now, this part of Mr. T. has been determined and the administrative violation penalty file has been completed to submit to the People's Committee of Kien Giang province to issue a decision on the penalty, because this is the authority to handle the case of the Chairman of the People's Committee of the province.
"However, Mr. T. is currently not present in the locality. The deadline for administrative sanctions will come in half a month. After that, Phu Quoc City will establish an enforcement team. During this process, we do not know if Mr. T. has any complaints or lawsuits. If all goes well, we will enforce these 9 bungalows in 2024. If they file a lawsuit, it will be even slower," said Mr. Khoa.
As reported by Tuoi Tre , many households illegally built bungalows in the marine conservation area in Cay Sao hamlet, Ham Ninh commune, causing public outrage. Then, from October 2022, the Phu Quoc City government decided to enforce the demolition of 14 bungalows of 2 businesses. Currently, 9 bungalows are still operating in the marine conservation area, causing public outrage.
