Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Minh Chau, the SJC gold price was listed at 79.0-81.0 million VND/tael (buying/selling), unchanged for both buying and selling compared to the same time on August 27.

While the price of gold bars is stable, the price of gold rings increased slightly in both buying and selling directions.
Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) listed the price of gold rings at 77.4 - 78.65 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 100,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling compared to the closing price yesterday.
DOJI Gold and Gemstone Group listed the price of gold rings at 77.55 - 78.65 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 100,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to the closing price yesterday.
The price of SJC gold bars was kept unchanged by large gold trading companies such as Doji and Phu Quy at VND81 million/tael. The domestic gold price has remained almost unchanged in recent days while the world gold price has been hovering above USD2,500.
According to businesses, domestic gold prices have not fluctuated in recent days due to reduced demand for gold among the people.
Previously, on August 27, Vietcombank announced that it would stop selling gold directly and start selling SJC gold bars via the VCB Digibank digital banking app. Accordingly, individual Vietnamese customers only need to choose the maximum quantity, location and time of delivery of SJC gold bars at the appropriate counter and make the transaction.
In the domestic market, a notable development in recent days is that the USD exchange rate continues to decrease.
If last Friday, the listed exchange rate at Vietcombank was at 25,150 VND/USD, then this morning it was only 24,630 - 25,000 VND/USD (buy and sell).
The exchange rate on the free market in Hanoi also decreased by 50 VND for buying, down to 25,150 VND, but the selling rate remained unchanged at 25,300 VND/USD. Thus, the difference with the listed exchange rate at commercial banks is about 260 - 270 VND.
