Vietnamese village with Western architecture

After 500 years of existence, up to now, the people of Cuu village (Van Tu commune, Phu Xuyen district, Hanoi) still preserve about 40 ancient houses built from the beginning of the 20th century.

Many people call Cuu village "Western village" because the blend of Eastern and Western cultures has given the village uniqueness compared to other ancient villages in Hanoi.

The Old Village stands out with its Asian-European fusion architecture with houses built in European style but still retaining traditional Vietnamese architecture. The village still retains the dense structure of a rural village with rows of quiet ancient houses, cool village wells, village gates, ancient village pagodas... Through the ups and downs of history, this place still retains its typical traditional mark, being both a valuable cultural, historical and artistic museum and having tourism potential.
