Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province Bui Van Tang said: Since the beginning of the year, the Fatherland Front system at all levels in the province has coordinated with member organizations and functional agencies to focus on propagating and mobilizing people of all walks of life to implement the Party's guidelines and policies and laws of the State; respond to and participate in emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Central and the province. The campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" has been actively and widely implemented by the Fatherland Front at all levels in coordination with member organizations, has spread and brought about practical results in the fields of local socio-economic development.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front directs the Fatherland Front at all levels to continue to effectively maintain self-management models in the community such as the following models: Mobilizing the entire population to actively contribute to building green - clean - beautiful village roads and alleys; Clan self-management groups; Civilized streets; Sustainable poverty reduction residential areas, environmental protection and climate change response; Model residential areas; Women's clubs for crime prevention and control; Clan self-management groups on security and order among the Khmer people; Economic development cooperation groups; Clan self-management groups... associated with the implementation of socio-economic development, security and defense tasks of the locality.

Responding to the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind", the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province actively mobilized the Fund for the Poor and the Social Security Fund, with the motto "publicity, transparency, timeliness, and right target", in the spirit of "Leaving no one behind". Many people also voluntarily donated, mobilized contributions of money and materials to promptly help the poor, enthusiastically participating in social security activities in the locality.

Handing over Great Unity houses to the people

In the first quarter of 2025, the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels in the province received contributions from organizations and individuals inside and outside the province in cash and kind, with a total value of nearly 184 billion VND (nearly 106 billion VND at the provincial level; nearly 78 billion VND at the district level). From the mobilized amount, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Mobilization Committee for the Fund for the Poor at all levels in the province spent over 114.3 billion VND to build 258 new houses and repair 95 Great Solidarity houses; visit and give nearly 113,800 gifts to poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households; provide emergency support to disadvantaged families and provide medical examination and treatment for over 5,520 cases; build 5 new rural bridges...

The Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Fund for the Poor at all levels have mobilized and received 165,778 gifts, with a total value of over VND 66.7 billion (each gift is worth from VND 350,000 to VND 1.3 million). Districts, towns and cities in the province have proactively mobilized resources to their localities to care for and support 100% of policy families, poor and near-poor households with at least one gift for Tet. In addition, some localities have mobilized many resources to support gifts for disadvantaged households; some places have poor and near-poor households receiving more than 2 gifts.

The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area has been focused on implementation by relevant levels and sectors. As of March 13, 2025, the Provincial Fund Mobilization Committee for the Poor has received over 102 billion VND; has advanced over 47 billion VND to 9 districts and towns; has organized the construction, completion and put into use of 648 houses.

Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province Dang Thi Hoa Ray suggested that in the coming time, the Standing Committees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province should focus on implementing regular tasks according to the set work program. At the same time, focus on deploying the application of information technology and digital transformation in the Vietnam Fatherland Front system at all levels. Continue to propagate and disseminate the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State; especially the guidelines on streamlining the apparatus in the political system and the people to create consensus in the whole society. Mobilize and mobilize resources of society, businesses, and the entire population to successfully implement the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025...
