Presenting VND3 billion in support to Yen Bai province, Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha shared the difficulties and losses of the people of Mu Cang Chai district who suffered damage due to natural disasters. She hoped that the people would soon overcome the difficulties and losses and stabilize their lives. She also requested Yen Bai province to continue to pay attention to supporting the affected people, especially households whose houses were damaged, so that they can soon have a new, safer place to live.

Yen Bai province will continue to pay attention and provide timely support to help people affected by natural disasters stabilize their lives soon, and pay attention to finding new safe places for people. Up to this point, Mu Cang Chai district has found two land funds to resettle households whose houses were damaged.
The Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee also informed Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha about the damage caused by natural disasters in Mu Cang Chai district. Accordingly, the natural disaster killed 3 people; damaged 248 houses, of which 68 were completely collapsed; 144 houses were severely damaged and 36 houses had to be urgently evacuated.
Natural disasters also caused heavy damage to infrastructure; educational facilities, health care, roads, communications, irrigation works and agricultural production areas of the people. The total estimated damage, according to reports up to August 10, was over 120 billion VND.
