Snow falls on Fansipan peak

Việt NamViệt Nam16/07/2024

As the highest mountain in Indochina at an altitude of 3,143 m, Fansipan peak often starts to get cold from November to February of the following year, with many long cold spells, temperatures even dropping below 0 degrees Celsius and frost appearing. This is considered one of the most special and attractive experiences for tourists when coming to Sa Pa in winter. Conquering Fansipan peak, known as the roof of Indochina, always brings a feeling of excitement, this feeling is even more intense when you "hunt for snow" on Fansipan peak in the cold winter. This is also the message that author Hoang The Long wants to send to the audience through the photo album “Snow falls on Fansipan peak”. This album is transmitted from the Photo and Video Contest “Happy Vietnam”, organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications. Snowfall in many European countries or some Eastern countries is already very familiar, but in Vietnam, snowfall is a rare natural phenomenon. At the end of the year, when the temperature drops, frost covers the Fansipan peak. At the same time, a sea of white clouds also appears. From the top of Fansipan, the sky is clear and sunny, from here you can see the sea of clouds rolling, creating a breathtaking natural scene. From the cable car, visitors can see with their own eyes the majestic nature of Hoang Lien Son mountain range covered in a beautiful white coat of ice, with clear, sparkling ice strips on the cliffs. Amidst that magical, poetic space, the Fansipan spiritual architectural complex appears like a masterpiece amidst the clouds and mountain winds.

Snow covers the tiled roofs of spiritual structures, in the space filled with misty morning mist on the top, making Fansipan as magical as in the movies.

Snow covered the railway from the top of the mountain in pure white, like an image from a forest somewhere far away in Europe. With a tropical climate, it is very rare to have snow in Vietnam. However, in recent years, the mountainous areas of Northern Vietnam have extremely low temperatures in winter, and during severe cold spells, there has been frost and snow. Watching snow in Vietnam and the first snow of the season is really something that attracts many tourists. Although the weather is extremely harsh, the white beauty combined with the majestic mountain scenery of Lao Cai fascinates all visitors.
