Frost covers Fansipan peak for the 6th consecutive day

On the morning of January 5, thick ice appeared on the top of Fansipan. This is the 6th consecutive day that ice has appeared on the roof of Indochina.

According to information from Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area, at around 5:30 a.m., the temperature on top of Fansipan was recorded at 0 degrees Celsius.
Thick layers of ice gradually appeared on tree branches, wooden floors, and sightseeing paths at the mountain top. This is the thickest ice since the beginning of winter 2024, and also the 6th consecutive day of ice appearing on the top of Fansipan.

At around 8:30 a.m., although the sun had risen, the temperature on the mountain top did not increase, remaining at 0 degrees Celsius. The icicles continued to stretch. Sa Pa is considered one of the attractive destinations in the North in winter, especially the experience of hunting clouds, ice and snow.

When traveling in winter, hunting for ice on Fansipan peak, visitors should prepare thermal clothes, warm coats, hats, scarves, sneakers... avoid wearing high heels because they are slippery.

It is forecasted that ice will continue to appear on the top of Fansipan in the coming days when the temperature continues to remain low, creating favorable conditions for ice formation. Besides the experience of hunting for ice and snow, the end of the year is also the time when Sa Pa enters the cherry blossom season with pink covering the oolong tea hills in O Quy Ho ward.
