Khanh Hoa youth volunteer to go to remote areas and islands

TPO - The 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign of Khanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union with many meaningful projects and tasks to support people in remote, disadvantaged, border, island areas... in the province.

The launching ceremony was held in Khanh Binh commune, Khanh Vinh district, Khanh Hoa province, attracting the participation of about 400 union members and young people in the area. At the ceremony, Khanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union launched 5 youth volunteer teams including: Exam Support, Green Summer, Red Flamboyant, Pink Vacation, Green March with the motto of widespread safety - efficiency - sustainability.

The 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign is implemented according to youth groups with 1 program and 4 branch campaigns taking place from April to the end of August. Khanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union has assigned the task of implementing projects and tasks in disadvantaged localities that are building new rural areas to the emulation blocs with a total budget of 2.3 billion VND.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union, emphasized: Each volunteer soldier in Khanh Hoa must be determined to show his youth, enthusiasm and desire to contribute, ready to share for the community; volunteer to go to remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas; to go to the poor and disadvantaged people...

At the ceremony, Khanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union presented Khanh Binh commune, Khanh Vinh district with a youth project to light up the countryside roads with green energy worth 100 million VND.

The Vietnam Youth Union of Khanh Hoa province also presented the Vietnam Youth Union of Khanh Vinh district and the young doctors' club of Khanh Vinh district with 1,000 doses of tonic medicine to implement the program "Young doctors follow Uncle Ho's teachings" in the locality, worth 50 million VND.

In order to support union members and young people in difficult circumstances to develop their economy, the union of provincial agencies and the provincial young intellectual team presented 100 fruit seedlings for livelihood to the youth of Khanh Vinh district.

On this occasion, the organizing committee awarded 20 scholarships to excellent students from poor and near-poor households and 20 gifts to disadvantaged youth in Khanh Vinh district.

Immediately after the ceremony, delegates inaugurated the youth project “Lighting up the countryside with green energy” in Ca Hon village, Khanh Binh commune, Khanh Vinh district. The project consists of 40 solar-powered lamp posts spread evenly along a 1.5km long road.

Many meaningful and practical activities also took place right after the launching ceremony such as: Parade to propagate the 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign; training on transferring science and technology in planting livelihood trees for youth and ethnic minorities in Khanh Binh commune...
