A high school in Dak Lak announced that it would not accept flowers or envelopes because it did not want to bother parents and students in difficult circumstances on the occasion of November 20th. It only accepted respect and studious spirit from students.

On the morning of November 20, Mr. Pham Van Ninh - principal of Krong Ana High School - said he knew that his school's refusal to accept flowers and envelopes had caused a stir online.

Mr. Ninh said he was the one who initiated the widespread announcement of "saying no to envelopes and material gifts on all occasions".

He said that all the staff, teachers, employees and workers strongly agreed with this policy. The connection between students and teachers is the most priceless and practical gift for the school.

Teacher Ninh added that the school has many disadvantaged students, so he doesn't want them to worry too much about valuable gifts during the holidays.

The school understands its students and is unanimous in wanting the best for them.

"We do not deny that students express their feelings to their teachers. They can send meaningful wishes and visit their teachers to preserve the precious tradition between teachers and students. Material gifts, in my opinion, are unnecessary and cause many families to worry," said Mr. Ninh.

Students' feelings and maturity are more precious than material gifts.

According to Mr. Ninh, this year's November 20th is also the 40th anniversary of the school's founding. More than 2,000 teachers, former teachers, students and alumni gathered to create a very meaningful program to honor teachers.

"The students sent all the teachers meaningful wishes, special performances and touching speeches. At the ceremony, tears of happiness and respect fell. Those things are the biggest and most special gifts for the teachers of Krong Ana High School.

The school appreciates the love and support that parents and students have given the school over the past time. This is a great motivation for the school to continue to strive to fulfill its mission of educating and caring for students.

"The feelings and maturity of the students are more precious than material gifts," Mr. Ninh shared.
