Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Viet, Vice Rector of Thuyloi University, affirmed that in the strong development trend of digital technology and artificial intelligence, the digitalization of the entire university space and infrastructure is an inevitable requirement, helping to improve the learner experience, increase transparency in management and effectively connect with society.

The launch of the Virtual Tour system is a concrete demonstration of the commitment of Thuyloi University in pioneering innovation and applying technology to teaching, learning and management activities.

This system is implemented by Portcoast Consulting Joint Stock Company for Port Design and Marine Engineering in collaboration with Thuyloi University, allowing viewers to visit the entire Thuyloi University through 3D virtual reality space, from lecture halls, libraries, laboratories to dormitories, sports areas and research facilities.

All are digitized in detail and vividly, contributing to introducing the school to students and parents at home and abroad. At the same time, expanding connections with the alumni community, business partners, management agencies and society.

At the event, Portcoast representatives introduced modern technologies applied in the process of building digital models at Thuyloi University, notably BA-D laser scan technology with the ability to scan more than 2 million points per second, allowing accurate reproduction of terrain and constructions.

Along with that is the USB mobile mapping device supporting dynamic surveying, satellite image technology, shared data platform (CDI), integrated environment of sensors for structural analysis, construction deformation, virtual reality applications (AR), machine learning (ML), digital twin model and cloud-based construction management technology. All have been tested and certified for efficiency and accuracy by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Thanks to the implementation of these advanced technologies, the entire facilities of Thuyloi University have been digitized synchronously through two implementation phases, becoming one of the first universities in the block of technical schools in Vietnam to have a modern, practical and in-depth Virtual Tour model as it is today.
