(NLDO) – There are 14 people being cared for at the Dak Lak Province Social Protection Center suspected of food poisoning, of which 6 people had to be hospitalized for treatment.
On March 16, a leader of the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province, said that he had directed relevant units to clarify and handle according to regulations the suspected food poisoning incident that occurred at the Dak Lak Province Social Protection Center.

Previously, on March 15, the Office of the People's Council and People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City received information about a suspected food poisoning case at the Social Protection Center - Department of Health of Dak Lak Province (Hoa Thang Commune, Buon Ma Thuot City).
According to the verification results, there are a total of 14 people suspected of food poisoning. These are the elderly and disabled people being cared for at the Dak Lak Provincial Social Protection Center.
Specifically, on March 11, 1 person had abdominal pain and was examined and treated by the medical department of the Social Protection Center. From March 12 to March 13, 13 more people had abdominal pain and loose stools. The center examined them and prescribed medication according to the symptoms.
On March 14, the Social Protection Center transferred 6 out of 14 people to Buon Ma Thuot City General Hospital for treatment due to blood in the stool and exhaustion.
After the number of cases gradually increased, the Social Protection Center inspected the care and sanitation of the campus.
Seeing that there was a phenomenon of washing clothes of infected people in industrial washing machines, some tasks were carried out such as: General cleaning of the entire residential area and surrounding area with bleach, spraying disinfectant with Cloramin B. Cleaning food trays, dipping in boiling water and drying upside down. Washing clothes of infected people separately, drying in sunlight.
