Changi is a tourist destination in itself, and time spent at the airport has become part of the enjoyment of the vacation, according to CNN .

Changi Airport deserves the throne

Tokyo Haneda (also named the World's Cleanest Airport ) came in third, followed by Incheon (South Korea) in fourth ( World's Best Staffed Airport ), Narita (serving the Tokyo area) and Hong Kong International Airport.

Europe has nine airports in the top 20. Paris Charles de Gaulle ranked 7th, and was named Best Airport in Europe. third year in a row.

Istanbul Airport ranked 14th, also recognized as the World's Most Family-Friendly Airport . London Heathrow - Europe's busiest airport - did not win any awards.
