On January 24, information from Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a decision to recognize Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tat Toan - Vice Principal in charge of the school as the Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry for the 2020-2025 term. The decision takes effect from January 24.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tat Toan was born in 1972; graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry in 1995; Master of Veterinary Medicine from Los Banos National University (UPLB), Philippines in 2004; PhD in Veterinary Medicine in 2008 from Chonnam National University, Korea.
Dr. Nguyen Tat Toan was appointed Associate Professor of Veterinary Medicine in 2013.
In March 2019, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tat Toan was appointed Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry had a vacant principal position since 2020 after Mr. Nguyen Hay retired from management. Since then, the school's management has been assigned to Mr. Huynh Thanh Hung - Vice Principal in charge of the school.
In January 2021, Mr. Huynh Thanh Hung was assigned the role of Acting Principal. In August 2023, Mr. Huynh Thanh Hung was no longer a management age, so the School Board passed a resolution assigning Mr. Nguyen Tat Toan - Vice Principal to be in charge of the school.
Similar to Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, in early January 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade and Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry also had new principals after a period of vacancy in the principal position.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Industry and Trade decided that Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan (formerly the Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry, now Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade) will hold the position of Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade for the 2023-2028 term.
At the same time, Dr. Phan Hong Hai was recognized as the Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry for the 2023 - 2028 term.
