This is Yola's annual activity to honor outstanding academic achievements, and is also an opportunity for students to share their stories of conquering English, motivating other students on their learning journey.

Inspirational stories from outstanding students

Nguyen Ho Minh Quan, an 8th grader at Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City, stood out at the event with 146/150 points in the KET exam. Initially, Quan only expected 130-140 points, but the result far exceeded his expectations. He said his love for English stems from the interesting and usefulness of this language for the future. Before the exam, Quan was not too worried but focused on the writing part due to the difficulty and variety of topics.

Quan emphasized that choosing a reputable center with quality teachers like Yola is a key factor in developing his passion for English. The encouraging learning environment and quality teachers have inspired Quan. He also regularly communicates in English with foreigners at school and on family trips. "My parents always support and encourage me when I get low scores, helping me regain my spirit and continue to strive," Quan shared.

Guests also listened to the inspirational story of Hong Anh, a 12th grade student at Le Quy Don High School, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City. Having been passionate about English since kindergarten, Hong Anh was determined to conquer this subject. During the summer vacation last year, while her friends were traveling, Anh focused on studying for the IELTS certificate. She determined that this was her first and last exam, so she spent a lot of time and effort to achieve the best results. Hong Anh achieved 8.0 IELTS, with reading and listening skills of 8.5, writing and speaking of 7.0.

Deciding to return to Yola to prepare for the IELTS exam, Anh said the friendly environment and the enthusiasm of the teachers helped her improve her grammar skills - her weak point. Anh also regularly watches English books and movies, and practices listening through YouTube channels. "Regular exposure to this language helps me learn better. This is the core factor in improving my English skills," Anh shared. She believes that achieving an IELTS score of 8.0 will open up many opportunities for admission to her dream universities.

Ms. Le Thi Tuyet Lan, Anh's mother, is proud of her daughter's achievements and shares that Anh has been passionate about English since she was a child. "When she was 5 years old, she said she wanted to learn English in addition to Vietnamese. Throughout the learning process, Anh has always been proactive in studying and planning for herself. The family has accompanied her but not put pressure on her, allowing her to develop freely."

Yola's comprehensive training philosophy

At the award ceremony, Yola representative said that the center is constantly improving and enhancing the quality of education, helping students develop comprehensively in terms of intelligence, life skills and learning attitude.

The most important criteria that the center always puts first is academic skills. The teaching staff always encourages students to express themselves and creates an environment to develop soft skills, but the priority is always on studying and achieving excellent results.

The parent of Tran Minh Quan - another student of Yola - shared that in the new era, children need to be equipped with many skills to adapt well. "Studying at YOLA makes me feel secure because my child develops knowledge and confidence, without having to be rushed and still progresses steadily."

Mr. Pham Anh Khoa - co-founder of Yola Foreign Language Center shared that since the center started operating in 2017 with only 7 students, Yola has trained more than 60,000 students, with more than 10,000 students successfully studying abroad and the total scholarship value reaching more than 1 billion USD.

On the occasion of this honoring ceremony, YOLA also organized many interesting activities such as academic minigames and giving gifts to outstanding students. In particular, the "hand-carried" T-shirt from Stanford University (USA) - brought back by YOLA co-founder, Ms. Ngo Thuy Ngoc Tu - is not only a gift but also a symbol of inspiration for students, reminding them of the value of continuous effort.

“Yola believes that every achievement from learning efforts deserves to be recognized and encouraged, and the annual honoring ceremony is a special occasion to inspire the next generation of students,” said a representative of the center.

The special scholarship program of Yola Foreign Language Center is taking place with a scholarship of up to 25% and many attractive gifts, which is also a great opportunity for new students. Refer to: https://yola.vn/.
