Agritechnica Asia International Exhibition of Agricultural Machinery held for the first time in Vietnam

AGRITECHNICA ASIA is the leading agricultural trade fair organized by the German Agricultural Association (DLG). Building on AGRITECHNICA’s legacy in Hannover, Germany, which has been showcasing agricultural technology since 1985, the event was launched in Bangkok, Thailand, to serve the diverse agricultural needs of Asia.

According to the representative of the organizing committee of AGRITECHNICA ASIA VIETNAM 2025, this large-scale exhibition on agricultural technology and equipment will be open for free from March 12-14, 2025 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City, expected to welcome 15,000 visitors.

This series of events will be a comprehensive platform for manufacturers, suppliers and farmers to explore and adopt advanced agricultural technologies, driving innovation and growth in the industry.

“After the success in Bangkok, Thailand in May 2024, 2025 is the first time Agritechnica Asia will come to Vietnam. We expect the exhibition to introduce advanced agricultural solutions and sustainable practices to Vietnamese farmers,” said Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thach, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper. Looking further, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thach hopes that Agritechnica Asia will be held alternately in Thailand and Vietnam, making the two countries in particular and Southeast Asia in general a knowledge center in the field of agricultural mechanization.

Agritechnica Asia Vietnam 2025 is expected to bring many new solutions and platforms to the agricultural industry.

Mr. Peter Grothues, member of the DLG Market Council, informed: "One of our main goals is to introduce the world's most advanced technologies to Vietnamese farmers, businesses and cooperatives. These are the manufacturers who are constantly pioneering innovation, improving the quality of the industry, aiming for smart agriculture, reducing emissions".

AGRITECHNICA ASIA 2025 focuses on Vietnam’s key agricultural sectors, including rice, sugarcane, corn, food crops, coffee and fruits. The event attracts more than 200 exhibitors from 25 countries and thousands of experts from across the agricultural value chain.

AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam will have the participation of AGCO, a company that owns brands such as Gleaner, GSI, Massey Ferguson... AGCO aims to support small and large-scale farmers in both improving productivity and maintaining sustainability.

AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam 2025 is also an important forum for experts, industry leaders and policy makers to exchange and share knowledge and experiences. The event not only raises awareness among businesses and farmers about the importance of technology in ensuring food security but also promotes sustainable agriculture.

At the same time, AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam 2025 encourages creativity and innovation in agriculture, opening up opportunities for advanced solutions to be widely applied, thereby improving production efficiency and developing the agricultural economy.

In addition to the exhibition, Agritechnica Asia Vietnam will have important knowledge exchange activities through conferences, seminars and workshops with the participation of more than 60 expert speakers.

The sessions will address key challenges and opportunities in the region with contributions from leading organizations such as the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), the German Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food (BMEL), GIZ and the United Nations Centre for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization (UNESCAP)...
