The exhibition is organized by the Romanian Embassy in Vietnam, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Romania (1950-2025). These are photos taken by photographer Sorin Vasilescu.

Constantin Brancusi, born in 1876, is a Romanian sculptor, considered one of the most influential sculptors of the 20th century. As a pioneer of modernism, Brancusi is known as the "father" of modern sculpture.
Working directly with wood and marble, without using molds, Brancusi initiated a groundbreaking new sculptural method that refined human forms into abstract shapes.

Brancusi's sources of inspiration were diverse, ranging from his teacher and legendary French sculptor Auguste Rodin to Romanian architecture and African and Asian artistic traditions.
One of his main body of work is the "Bird in Space" series — simple abstractions depicting a bird in flight. These works are based on his earlier "Maiastra" series. In Romanian folklore, Maiastra is a beautiful golden bird that is said to predict the future and heal the blind.
He often reduced images to their simplest visual expressions, such as his famous sculpture “Bird in Space,” which changed the definition of art in the United States. In 1927-1928, the U.S. Customs Office took the sculptor to court because they refused to classify the piece as a work of art, claiming it was an industrial part made of metal. Brancusi won the case.

Brancusi died in 1957. He left behind 1,200 photographs and 215 sculptures. In 2015, the Romanian Parliament declared February 19 Brancusi Day.
