More than 600 athletes from Gia Lam district participated in the Olympic Running Day and launched the Hanoi Moi Newspaper Open Running Tournament.

On the morning of March 29, in Trau Quy town, the People's Committee of Gia Lam district organized the launching of the Olympic Running Day for the health of all people; launching, finalizing and checking the general running standards of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Open Race - For Peace in Gia Lam district in 2025; celebrating the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2025).

The launching ceremony was attended by more than 600 athletes representing the military, police, workers, laborers, teachers, secondary and high school students, students from academies, universities, colleges, vocational and professional secondary schools in the district.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of Gia Lam District People's Committee Truong Van Hoc affirmed that the Olympic Running Day - For the health of all people and the Hanoi Moi Newspaper Running Tournament have become annual traditional activities of the district. For many years, athletes of Gia Lam District have participated in the Hanoi Moi Newspaper Running Tournament at the city level and won high prizes.

Vice Chairman of Gia Lam District People's Committee Truong Van Hoc launched the Olympic Running Day - For the health of all people in 2025.

The Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee requested that units seriously organize the launch at the grassroots level, mobilize forces to participate in the general test run, select excellent members, establish teams, organize thorough training to participate in district and city level competitions to achieve the highest results at the final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Open Run - For Peace in 2025.

After the launching ceremony, the athletes participated in a general test run. The organizing committee selected the best athletes to participate in the final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace 2025 held at the end of September 2025.
