Bai Tu Long Bay Tourism Development Conference

Many delegates attended the conference on Tourism Development in Bai Tu Long Bay, 2025.

Attending the conference were Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee; Pham Van Thuy, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism; representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, a number of relevant departments, branches and localities. The conference also had the participation of nearly 200 delegates representing tourism and travel businesses inside and outside the province.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province presented a report to introduce the conference.

In the report introducing the conference, comrade Nguyen Viet Dung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province mentioned that after many years of development, Quang Ninh tourism space has now expanded to all island routes, borders and connected 4 key tourism centers of the locality, ensuring sustainability with specific products such as sea and island tourism, spiritual cultural tourism and border tourism. In which, Bai Tu Long Bay is the focus with the highlight being the majestic rocky island system, pristine beaches, recognized by the ASEAN Center for Biodiversity as an ASEAN Heritage Garden since 2017. Bai Tu Long Bay is converging all opportunities for tourism development such as a convenient transportation system by road, sea and air; a system of accommodation facilities with large resort complexes has been formed. Bai Tu Long also has a different value from Ha Long Bay with a system of inhabited islands, where tourists can experience the lives of the people; Some islands have beautiful beaches, many developed coral reefs, and the ability to build nature reserves and ecological parks to serve tourism and resort development.

Delegates listened to leaders of Van Don district inform about the potential, strengths, products, tourist attractions, and tourism products in Van Don district and Bai Tu Long bay.

The Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province emphasized that through the conference, Quang Ninh province hopes to receive the direction, guidance, participation and contributions of leaders, distinguished guests, opinions of businesses, agencies and organizations so that Quang Ninh can continue to make thorough preparations, creating a foundation to promote tourism development. At the same time, Quang Ninh commits to accompany, remove difficulties in administrative procedures and create the best conditions for businesses to effectively exploit tourism products and activities in Bai Tu Long Bay. The conference is also an opportunity for Quang Ninh to attract resources for tourism development, expand international integration, and bring the image of the country and people of Vietnam in general and Quang Ninh province in particular to domestic and foreign tourists. At the same time, it demonstrates Quang Ninh province's determination to achieve the goal of reaching 20 million tourists in 2025.

Leaders of Bai Tu Long National Park introduced to delegates the wonderful natural values of the ASEAN Heritage Park.

At the conference, representatives of Van Don district and Bai Tu Long National Park introduced the potential, strengths, products, tourist attractions, and tourism products in Bai Tu Long Bay and Bai Tu Long National Park; re-emphasized the role and development orientation of Bai Tu Long Bay in developing tourism in Quang Ninh. At the same time, they analyzed and clarified the potentials, opportunities, challenges, and limitations in developing tourism in Bai Tu Long Bay. On that basis, they proposed solutions and made recommendations on developing tourism in Bai Tu Long Bay in the following areas: Improving the effectiveness of state management in the tourism sector; developing new tourism products; promoting investment attraction for tourism development; improving the quality of tourism services...

The conference also discussed and listened to the opinions of state management agencies, the tourism business community and related organizations and individuals to effectively exploit and develop tourism in Bai Tu Long Bay. At the same time, many measures were proposed and suggested to accelerate Van Don tourism such as: Building accommodation facilities, completing infrastructure of anchorage areas and tourist attractions; licensing visits to Bai Tu Long National Park to develop typical product lines towards exploring and experiencing nature, associated with environmental protection; positioning Van Don and Bai Tu Long Bay as destinations for tourists who love exploring nature, adventure sports, experiencing pristine ecology and cultural tourism; linking sightseeing routes, tourism in Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay...

Comrade Pham Van Thuy, Deputy Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, gave opinions, suggestions and directions for the development of tourism in Bai Tu Long Bay.

The dialogue activities at the conference also contributed to the dissemination and evaluation of the implementation of a number of Resolutions, Decisions and Plans of the Government and Quang Ninh province related to the tourism sector to all levels, sectors and the tourism business community, creating high consensus and unanimity in the implementation. At the same time, it strongly communicated to the business community, people and tourists about the determination of Quang Ninh province in achieving the goal of reaching 20 million tourists in 2025.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hanh shared that through the conference, Quang Ninh province and relevant departments, agencies and localities will have suggestions and orientations for the most effective solutions for the development of Quang Ninh tourism in general and Bai Tu Long Bay tourism, Van Don district in particular. This is also an opportunity to promote and introduce the unique values of Bai Tu Long Bay and seek investment opportunities, exploit and develop new tourism products for the sea and island areas of Ha Long Bay - Bai Tu Long Bay - Cam Pha - Van Don - Co To.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received and understood the valuable comments from the leaders of the National Tourism Administration, managers, and businesses and hoped to continue to receive the attention, support, and cooperation of the delegates, as well as the trust of investors and the tourism business community in promoting the development of Bai Tu Long Bay tourism into an attractive destination that cannot be missed in the journey of tourists visiting Quang Ninh. At the same time, he assigned tasks to relevant departments, branches, and localities to quickly resolve the tasks to create maximum convenience and success for investment, business, exploitation, and development of tourism products in Bai Tu Long Bay.
